Facts that were changed in second draft!

These “facts” were changed after they were shown to be not accurate!

#20 originally stated “Broccoli is the only vegetable that is a flower”, It now reads, “Broccoli and cauliflower are the only vegetables that are flowers”.

#76 originally stated “There is a town called Big Ugly, West Virginia”, It now states, “There is an area called Big Ugly, West Virginia”.

  4. ct says that Karate originated in India. That is not true. It originated in Japan. Kung- Fu originated in an area that was close to India so that's probably where they got it from.

    I tried to shake a can of mixed nuuts and the larger ones went to the bottom.

    #894 is wrong.
    Bamboo does not grow 90cm a day. The record for its growing is 12cm a day.

    #847 is wrong.
    The "The Valley of Square Trees" does not exist and niether do square trees.

    #747 might be wrong.
    I was told that the United States actually rented Alaska for exactly 100 years but no one ever bothered to ask for it back.

    #806 might be wrong.
    I don't know about Albania but nodding your head means "no" in Bulgaria.

    #810 is wrong.
    I have seen and heard many cases of erupting volcanoes in Australia on the news.

    #817 is wrong.

  12. #135 (i think it was) you left out the second part haha :) it says panama is the only place you can see the sunrise. and then it supposed to be panama is the only place you can see the sunrise and set in the same spot. or something to that effect.

    this is a really great list; i'm basically addicted to these fun snapple facts thank you for this!

  23. Hi yes so snapple fact #196 is completely false. My friend and I calculated the amount of money you would have if you double a penny every day for 30 days. Your fact said that we would get $5,368,709.12. We got broke more than 10 million when we calculated it. Get your facts straight!

    1. 10,737,418.24 to be exact. Their calculations only accounted for 29 days.. I'm happy I'm not the only one to figure this out.

    That's only if you start doubling the penny on the first day (that is you start with 2 cents on the first day). Then you get $10,737,418.24. I think it's more likely you start with 1 cent on the first day that's doubled on the second and on which equals the value in fact #196.
